By using seasonal, sweet blueberries at their peak there's no need for any added sweeteners. Tossing in some freshly ground flax seeds will give you a healthful boost of omega 3's, fiber and protein without sacrificing any taste.
- 3/4-1 cup frozen organic blueberries
- 1 frozen organic banana
- 3/4 cup fresh coconut water (I used the water from a Young Thai Coconut)
- 1/4 cup of coconut meat (for added creaminess)
- 1 Tbsp freshly ground flax seeds
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 scoop organic raw whole grain sprouted vegan protein powder
- 1.5 Tbsp maca root
